Dr Daniel James BVSc (Hons) MACVSc (Small Animal Surgery, Radiology)

Daniel graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honours in 2002. His first year after graduation was spent as a mixed animal practitioner in New Zealand, followed by three years as a mixed animal vet in Nowra.

From 2007 until starting at the VSC, Daniel and his wife (also a vet) have worked as small animal veterinarians in many practices in the UK, Queensland, WA and occasionally, Sydney. During this time he achieved Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in both Veterinary Radiology and Small Animal Surgery.

Daniel's main veterinary interests are in the sphere of orthopaedics and he is looking forward to being involved in the VSC's research pursuits in this area.

While he used to have interests outside of work, in late 2009 they were replaced with a small baby girl when his first daughter was born.
